DermaRadar Transparency

Data sources and methodology

A transparent explanation of what DermaRadar collects and how content is classified and ranked.

✓ Public Instagram data✓ Keyword-based classificationData updated Aug 17, 2026, 01:23 AM

1. Collection scope

We use only posts published by medical institutions on their public accounts, together with publicly available advertising information. We do not collect posts from personal accounts, nor private accounts, DMs, contact details, or other non-public information. Cards link to the original post when available.

2. Ads and clinic content

We count paid clinic advertising separately from the ordinary posts clinics publish on their own accounts. Since August 2026 we no longer collect or display personal treatment reviews — even on public posts, who received which treatment is sensitive health information.

3. Treatment and area labels

Korean, Japanese, English, and Chinese keywords in captions and hashtags can assign up to three treatments per post. Areas are assigned to Gangnam, Myeongdong, or Hongdae only with clear evidence; otherwise they remain unconfirmed.

4. Popular and weekly metrics

Ranking considers public views, likes, saves, and recency while reducing repeated exposure from one account. Weekly Radar compares new posts, ads, active accounts, and treatment mentions on a Monday-based week.

Privacy and admin security

We use only the minimum information needed to analyze public content. Admin tools do not retain passwords in URLs and are separated behind a short-lived, server-issued protected session.

Important limitations

Automated labels can be wrong and counts may change by collection time. DermaRadar is not a medical provider and does not recommend, book, or broker treatments. Confirm price, suitability, outcomes, and risks with a qualified medical provider.
